The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine welcomes Dr. Peter Ciampi back as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Restorative and Preventative Sciences.

Spring Lake, NJ – At Spring Lake Dental Care, New Jersey dentist Peter E. Ciampi, DDS offers his patients a variety of treatments including dental implants, TMJ therapy, porcelain veneers, and Invisalign®. However, Dr. Ciampi occasionally closes the doors of his practice to fulfill his responsibilities as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Having worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the university since 1997, the University of Pennsylvania recently recognized the past 15 years of Dr. Ciampi’s service with a commemorative plaque. In a recent blog post titled “My 16th Year of Service at the UPenn School of Dental Medicine,” Dr. Ciampi says that he is ready to begin a new semester with the students and faculty of the Department of Restorative and Preventative Sciences that will mark his 16th year with the school.

Dr. Ciampi’s responsibilities at UPenn include the instruction of third and fourth year dental students in areas of dentistry including: emergency procedures, dentures, dental crowns, preventative techniques, and reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. He focuses his instruction on new techniques, materials, and technology, ensuring that both he and his students are working with the most current information available. According to Dr. Ciampi, “The diverse atmosphere of the clinic allows me to address this wide spectrum of skills and technology.”

In addition to his position as an instructor, the New Jersey cosmetic dentist appreciates the chance to work with other professors, clinical associates, and professional peers. He says the atmosphere of camaraderie at the clinic allows knowledge to be shared and is beneficial to students and instructors alike. However, the students are Dr. Ciampi’s primary focus at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine: “I thoroughly enjoy interacting with the young dental students. They are the next generation of professionals that will emerge into the field and I am continually impressed by their willingness to learn as well as their insight into dental pathology.” He notes that he is not only eager to return to UPenn for the upcoming year, but also looks forward to many years of continued service in the future.
