Spring Lake Dental Care is proud to announce that Dr. Peter Ciampi has been selected as a “Top Dentist” by his peers and appears in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s annual list of Top Dentists for 2010!
Every year, the magazine commissions a survey through the Polling Institute at Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ to come up with a list of “Top Dentists”. Ballots are sent to over 6000 practicing dentists throughout the state asking them what dentist they would recommend to a loved one. After all the votes were counted, results showed that our very own Dr. Ciampi was one of the dentists selected by his peers! Results of the vote are published in the July 2010 issue of New Jersey Monthly. Congratulations to Dr. Peter Ciampi, a Top Dentist in New Jersey!

Cosmetic Dentist in New Jersey Aids Relief in Tennessee
At his New Jersey cosmetic dentistry practice, Dr. Peter Ciampi has been serving the dental needs of his community for over 21 years. He recently traveled to Anderson County, TN to volunteer his time as a member of RAM, or Remote Area Medical, an organization dedicated to providing medical and dental care to the underserved.
As a cosmetic dentist in New Jersey, Dr. Peter Ciampi has dedicated his expertise to the dental needs of his Spring Lake community for more than 21 years. However, he recently traveled to Anderson County, TN with the Remote Area Medical (RAM) organization with over 400 volunteers—30-40 of which were dentists—to provide much needed dental and medical care to underserved residents in the area.
Remote Area Medical was created by Mr. Stan Brock, formerly of the Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. After serving the needs of residents in remote areas throughout the international community, he turned his attention to those in need on the national level. Over the course of two days, RAM treated approximately 900 patients, providing services such as routine cleanings, fillings, and extractions. While the days were long and exhausting, Dr, Ciampi says he and his colleagues were happy to serve those in need. He adds that he looks forward to the next mission, as he plans to participate one to two times each year.
About Peter E. Ciampi, DDS, MAGD
Dr. Peter Ciampi earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He then completed a general practice residency at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD. After being stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk and serving in the U. S. Navy Dental Corps., Dr. Ciampi went on to complete postgraduate cosmetic dentistry training in a range of procedures, including porcelain veneers and teeth whitening. He has achieved membership status with the Academy of General Dentistry, which is the highest honor the organization bestows upon its members. D. Ciampi is an active member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and maintains a rigorous continuing education schedule each year.

Dr. Ciampi recently spent some time volunteering in Anderson County, Clinton, TN to help the victims of the recent devastation. He was one of 446 medical professionals from 14 different states volunteering with the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps. Dr. Ciampi was part of a team who helped perform dental cleanings, fillings, extractions and other dental procedures for 503 patients. Dr. Ciampi said, “It was a very rewarding experience to help people who have suffered so much and who don’t have access to sufficient dental health care.”

Dr. Peter Ciampi is known for giving his patients “Picture Perfect Smiles in a Picture Perfect Location” using the latest technology and techniques in the field of dentistry. In keeping with this theme, Spring Lake Dental Care is excited to announce that the office will be undergoing a complete renovation and adding new state-of-the-art equipment, all for the benefit of their patients (and without any increase in dental fees!).
Dr. Ciampi will be investing in an all new digital x-ray system, adding a private consultation room and redecorating the office to take on a inviting and relaxing look and feel. The renovations are scheduled to begin early Spring of 2010 with completion planned by Summer 2010. We look forward to giving you a tour during your next visit!

Spring Lake Dental Care has a new technology addition to the office! It is called LOGICON Caries Detector™ which is a computer software program linked to our digital x- rays that helps detect interproximal decay (cavities that form on the surfaces between the teeth). Used in conjunction with our other diagnostic tools, Dr. Ciampi says LOGICON will help him find up to 20% more interproximal cavities than possible with traditional methods which gives us all a reason to smile!

Dr. Pete will give your child $1.00 for each pound of unopened Halloween candy that you bring to our office. We will ship the candy to our troops overseas. You can bring your drawings, cards and letters for the troops and we’ll include them in our packages too!
Our office is located at 310 Morris Avenue in Spring Lake, and the collection hours will be Monday, November 2nd from 3-6pm and Tuesday November 3rd from 2-5pm.
